FAQ Medicare consultation
– Does Medicare cost anything?
Part A is premium-free for most people. Part B, Medicare Advantage, Part D, and Medicare Supplement plans each have premiums that vary depending on the plan, your income, and your location.
+ Do I have to enroll when I turn 65?
Many people enroll around age 65, but timing depends on your current coverage and work situation. A licensed agent can help you review your options.
– What doesn’t Original Medicare cover?
Original Medicare generally does not include dental care, routine vision exams, hearing aids, long-term care, or most healthcare services received outside the United States. Some Medicare Advantage plans may offer coverage for some of these services.
– Can I have a Medicare Supplement plan and a Medicare Advantage plan at the same time?
No. Medicare Supplement plans are designed to work only with Original Medicare. If you enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan, you cannot use a Medigap policy. You would need to choose one path or the other.
+ How do I know which plan is right for me?
The right plan depends on your doctors, prescriptions, budget, health needs, and preferred benefits. Comparing plan details side by side can help you make a confident choice.
